At the Women in Design and Construction “Sustainability” Workshop on Tuesday 28th May presented by Norman Disney & Young and sponsored by Havwoods from 6.00pm. The workshop will be hosted at the Havwoods Showroom at 215 Roden St, West Melbourne VIC.

The evening will explore the topic of “Sustainability”. This collaborative workshop will take participants through an understanding of what sustainability really means (hint: not NCC Section J compliance!) and through the practical steps to implement sustainability on your projects. Participants will have the opportunity through a facilitated activity to think outside the box and get creative in the application of sustainability initiatives.

About Our Speakers…

Hayley Koerbin

Hayley is a senior sustainability consultant passionate about driving sustainable solutions across all sectors of the built environment. With over 8 years’ experience, she covers sustainable building design, analysis of building environmental quality, sustainability rating tools and occupant health and wellbeing. Hayley is a Green Star Accredited Professional (GSAP) with the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) and is highly respected and sought for her extensive knowledge of Green Star and other environmental rating tools. Hayley is a Green Star Certified Assessor and is also a member of the GBCA’s Technical Advisory Group. Hayley also leads the education market sector for NDY in Melbourne.

Claudia Burbidge

Claudia joined Norman Disney & Young in 2016 as an Undergraduate Sustainability Consultant before transitioning to a Sustainability Consultant role in 2019. During this time, Claudia has developed technical and practical experience through involvement on various projects in the commercial, residential, retail, and education sectors. Claudia has multi-disciplinary expertise in sustainability frameworks, Life Cycle Assessment, sustainability strategy, master planning and carbon neutrality.

The evening will comprise of a fantastic and interactive workshop presented by Norman Disney and Young, grazing platters and drinks, casual networking as well as the opportunity for an informal Q & A session.

As always, this event promises to be an excellent opportunity to network with other women within design, engineering, construction and related industries, gain industry related knowledge, share experiences and enjoy presentations from industry leading professionals.
