Meet Megan from Bluebeam – WIDAC Silver Sponsor
Hi Megan! Great to meet you! Here we go… 5 in 5!
Tell us about yourself?
Hello! My name is Megan, I’m the Regional Marketing Manager APAC for Bluebeam. I grew up in lots of mining towns around Australia (thanks, Engineer Dad!) and had a 3-year stint in Sydney before settling down in Brisbane with my partner, Matt. I love being outdoors, travelling, and trying new things (when we’re allowed to again!) – and I take Trivia Nights VERY seriously.
What has been your career journey so far?
My early career was in Real Estate, then I studied Architecture for a few years before pursuing a career in Marketing about 7 years ago. I’ve always been connected to the ‘built environment’ even in my Marketing career, where I worked for a boutique property group in Sydney, then switched into software marketing for Asset Management, and now in the Design & Construction space with Bluebeam.
What do you enjoy most about Bluebeam?
I love being a part of something big. Bluebeam has a bold global vision, a fun and unique brand, and is completely dedicated to helping our staff, partners, and customers grow in our own ways. I often hear from our customers that they use our software daily and couldn’t live without it, which tells me we’re doing something right!
Tell us about the company and its products?
Bluebeam is a US-founded company that started back in 2002 when DMJHM+H (now AECOM) needed a simple PDF editor. In 2014, Bluebeam joined the Nemetschek Group and today over 2 million people around the world use our construction software, Bluebeam Revu. Our local Australian team has grown rapidly to support our growing customer base across APAC, with more exciting things to come in 2021.
What about the WIDAC community do you resonate with most?
I love that the WIDAC community doesn’t shy away from a real conversation if it means we’re creating positive change in Design and Construction together.
Thanks Megan. We look forward to learning more about Bluebeam, and seeing you at our upcoming events!
